I, proudly belonging to the left wing for years, was driven to evolve my politics and become an advocate for socialism after the recent resurfacing of Farage.
Systemic racism and indoctrination of the working class — my class — has been plaguing this country. Plastic policies masking blatant lies fuel the bigoted, condemning nature of Reform’s ideology, slowly chipping away at the so‑called “British Values” many of us learnt in school.
Intolerance aside, I truly believe that Reformers aren’t aware of the adverse effects their politics will have on them — and I, for one, refuse to let that become our reality.

The world is becoming an increasingly tumultuous dystopia. I am not someone capable of coping without working toward a future worth living in. I was introduced to Socialist Alternative as I approached the club fair at King’s College during welcome week.
Immediately, I knew that I had found a place that I could connect with in a new country, on a new continent. I decided to join when it became clear that this organisation refuses to just let the news happen to them, and would prefer to take action.
It is clear that voting is not nearly enough when the names on the ballot are not leaders you wish to follow. It is together that we create the movements needed to create change.
